Tahoe Sierra Century 2010

Ok this past weekend Bryan rode the 60-mile ride up at North Shore in Squaw Valley. Thats up all that steep Tahoe mountain terrain. His uncle John came from So. California to do the ride with him. They left our house Thursday night to get acclimated to the climate change and to do a ride the next day. They got up Friday morning and did a 20 mile ride just to stay loose. Bryan's cousin Jarred met them is Tahoe from Brookings, OR to do the ride with them; in afternoon they drove the route. Saturday they got up and were at the start line by 9:00 am. The weather was so beautiful and perfect for this kind of event in the mid 80's.
Bryan said he paced himself well and was very determined to finish. He finished it in just a puny bit over 5 hours. He said it was the hardest thing he has done. I am so proud of him for doing the race and even more for finishing it!
It was also a charity event that supported a local school's music program.
Check out his pictures!!
