Well we are sure into our summer break and I am getting worn out. I am trying to keep the kids busy with something different to do a few times each week. We have been able to go to the water park, the play park, have a few swim parties, and even a sleep over, so far. Our computer died on us Friday night, so I was with out one, and didn't know how much I depended on having it until this past weekend. Bryan took Joseph out Sunday and really went wild and not only bought us a new computer, but upgraded us to this deluxe MacBook Pro. It is so sweet and does so much more than everything we have ever had before combined. I am really looking forward to getting to explore all the new functions it has. Right now I am enjoying getting to do my normal day to day things.
We also found out last week we are really truly having a little girl. We are excited but I think very much in shock. We are having a hard time picking the perfect name. I think we need some inspiration so today we are going to go buy something pink for her. It will definitely be a huge change to have a girl and a full car.
Yesterday the boys and I were hanging out in the family room when Nathan came up and asked "Mom, when do I get to kiss girls?" Ok, he is 4 and already wants to kiss, which girl is this. Joey quickly replied (thank goodness!) "not until your 16, right mom?" Sure, Joe 16 is when you can think about kissing. Joseph then got to thinking and said, "then I have to get busy, I have to make my suit of armor, finish school, get a job, and get married." Well at least he knows that with girls comes great responsibilities. And the suit of armor is for his job-as a superhero! I just can't believe how fast they grow up and how young they learn of such grown up things.
I am just so thankful that we are teaching our kids the right morals and values to have, and so grateful that we have the gospel to turn to when we are teaching out kids. These are the times that we really need to stand up for what we believe and be strong in those beliefs. Its such a wonderful blessing to have a Priesthood leader in our home to set the example for these "special spirit children" that our Heavenly Father has sent to us.
