Recovery is a slow and painful process! :-(
Ava is looking good :-), day 4 of recovery and no bandages. I almost think the gauze and tape add such a dramatic effect and make her look worse than she is.
So here is a picture of her without the bandages.
Even still she looks cuter than ever.
Ok for those that don't know the whole story when we went to Kirkwood on Saturday we all came home with sunburns. Ava got it the worst. When we woke up Sunday morning her face was so swollen her eyes were almost completely shut. It may have been a reaction to the lotion or maybe it was the sun. Sunday I just laid on my bed and cried because I didn't protect her like I should have. She ended up in the Urgent Care Sunday morning. I still feel so horrible and I cry every time I look at her or have to change those bandages.
Believe me this is a lesson I will NEVER forget!

Oh, hon, I am so sorry for you both. It looks like it hurts. I am glad she is doing better and smiling through it all. I am sure all will be back to normal soon. We have all been there, in feeling like we didn't protect our little ones they way we should have. You are a GREAT Mom and don't ever forget it.
