Happy Birthday Nathan!

Saturday Nathan turned 6! What a huge birthday. He's no longer a "little" boy and can now ride without a booster seat. I don't know if he was more excited about getting presents or no longer having to use a booster seat. Plus he got his soccer uniform and pictures on his birthday and then he got to go to Lake Tahoe for the weekend +.
We have been counting down the months, then the weeks, and then finally the nights.
Who wouldn't be excited for this very busy and exciting day?
Happy Birthday my fantastic and amazing 6 year old!
I love you!

Graduation, Promotion, Celebration

Our Nathan has completed his first year in school. He loved it! For his last day of school he read to us, ate breakfast with us, sang to us, and then received a certificate for all his hard work in Kindergarten.
He is one amazing boy!
In kindergarten he learn lots of things and now he can't wait to use them in 1st grade.
We love you Wuzzle!!!!!

The Adventures of Thursday

Yesterday Bryan decided we needed a family bike ride. We all loaded up, stopped and picked up some chicken and headed off to the park at the end of the bike trail. What a great idea! The kids loved it and had such a great time. It felt so good to get out in the nice weather. We had out picnic, played at the park for a bit, then headed home. About a quarter of the way home as Joseph was cranking on his gears (which were already stripped) his chain came off and twisted up nice and good. Since it was beyond repair, Joseph and I started to walk our bikes home while Bryan (who had the little kids attached to his bike) and Nathan rode home.
We walked slow and talked. Then we would walk faster and found things to laugh at. We encountered some pretty interesting things. And had a great time bonding. Finally, one of us came up with a brilliant idea (I won't say who, BUT it WAS A boy named Joseph) to use their bike as a scooter. Now we were making great time. We'd be home before you know it. Just as we were riding into our neighborhood we saw Bryan coming to pick us up. That was great. I figured he was going to (thats just how he is) but I didn't really expect it because he had the three little kids to get home. unload, and reload.
All in all even with the mishap that made out little outing more adventurous it was a great time. I can't wait to do it again. Yes, I am actually looking forward to doing it again. But all I can say is we better get on it, 'cuz it gonna heat up soon!

Poor Easter Bunny has lost a fan. . .

Yesterday I was sitting at the table with Nathan and out of no where he stuck up the following conversation;
Nathan: "Mom, I know who the Easter Bunny is."
Me: "Who?"
Nathan: " You and Daddy"
Me: "How come you'd say that?"
Nathan: "Because the Easter Bunny cannot hop all over the world."
Me: "He can because he's a magical bunny"
Nathan: "There's no such thing."
Me: "Who told you this nonsense?"
Nathan: "I thunk it myself. I'm a smart boy."

Mother's Day

I am the best mom ever. I know this because I have the best kids ever. They make being a mom so easy and enjoyable.
I woke up this morning to breakfast (scrambled eggs, toast and milk) in bed made by Joseph.
Then I got fresh picked flowers form each of the kids
AFTER
they sung to me a song they wrote.
And to top it all off they scrubbed my car inside and out!
This was the very best Mother's Day I have ever had!!!

Tommy "tissing" his baby sister.

Citizenship Award

Nathan got an award for his citizenship this week. Mrs. Start said he showed kindness towards his classmates, is always helpful, and very polite. Wow! He's come a long way in such a short time.
From the Principal's office to Citizen of the month!

Our Citizen of the Month.
We sure our proud of him!!!
