My girl hit a milestone

Here she is just 6 months and one day sitting up.
I didn't even realize she was 6 months until she sat up.
Wow how time flies!
She isn't 100% stable and is getting knocked over by her brothers
who are so excited she is finally doing something new.
She'll get!

There is nothing like a sister, even brothers know that

Tommy loves Ava!
She is his "baby girl"
and every day without fail he kisses her
squeezes her
rolls around with her,
 and plays with her.
He is very attentive to her and her needs.
Some nights he even snuggles up with her and they fall asleep holding hands.

6 months old

On St. Patrick's Day Ava turned 6 months old.
Look at how big she is getting.
What a joy she is to have in out lives.
We all just love her so much.
Sometimes we even find ourselves fighting over who gets to love her more and give her more kisses. Ok its really just the boys, but how great it is to be her and have her older brother fight over her like that. Watch out Ava girl they aren't going to let up.
Check out these cheeks!
Could you just bite them or what?
Of all my kids she sure has the biggest cheeks.
Isn't this the cutest face?
and the biggest cheeks
Here she is just playing.
Too adorable!

Snowboard Another Day

I know, I know, enough with the snowboarding alright?
NOT!
These boys have so much fun doing it, so why not! Its a different adventure every time they go. This weekend was Bryan's birthday and what a better way to spend it than up on the mountain just hours after a huge storm that left almost 2 FEET of snow. Bryan and Joseph got up earlier that I have ever seen and were on the road quicker than ever, just to be the first ones to put tracks in the fresh powder.
They got up there so early some of the lifts weren't open yet and while they were waiting in line to get on the lift they watched Avalanche control throwing dynamite into the mountain. It was such a beautiful day with such great powder. As they stood on the mountain top they watched the wind blow the soft powder around.
This is by far one of my most favorite picture of Joseph snowboarding!
The day was so beautiful and nice, they decided to go without their face masks.
Mistake as they would later find out.
Bryan said when they were on a run they had stopped on their way down and when he looked back at Joey he said his face was frozen over (literally). He had asked Joey if he was ok. And with a frozen face Joe replied without moving his lips. Bryan said he was scared and worried for Joey and knew he needed help quickly. Bryan tried to brush the ice off his face but the cold glove against his frozen face only made it feel worse. Then Bryan remembered that before they left the car he grabbed a instant heat/hand warmer "just in case". He popped that open and began to defrost Joey's face, they found face masks and wore them the remainder of the day.
Watch that boy go!
Down that? Wow!
This is such an amazing picture! Nothing around but white snow.
It just looks so peaceful.
I zoomed in but there is nothing around but this fresh snow.

I love loving you!

Today is Bryan's Birthday. He's off doing exactly what he would consider to be a perfect birthday, (well almost only because I'm not there). He and his snow buddy are up at Kirkwood snowboarding.
 Did you expect anything else?
Of course I miss not being with him today, but its his day and they got over a foot of fresh powder, any border's dream! So when he returns home today I will have prepared for him the most amazing dinner of Lasagna Rolls (not your ordinary Lasagna), salad, homemade bread and to top it all off a German Chocolate Cake and ice cream. The whole dinner made from love. He deserves this not just because its his birthday but also because:
he works so hard every day,
is a great husband,
father,
friend,
son,
brother,
grandson,
he is so thoughtful,
kind,
caring,
grounded,
smart,
loving,
joyful,
compassionate,
my list could go on and on, but the bottom line is I am lucky to have him in my live! Happy Birthday!
I LOVE LOVING YOU!

And another day of "hard work"

Its so hard to get a picture of Bryan and Joey together. Especially since I don't go, but they were able to get someone to get a shot of them on Sunday.
On his toe edge.
Black diamond!
(it matter to those who do and doesn't matter for those who don't)
Pretty much straight down.
Look at the next picture. Bryan took this from the bottom of this run.
Oh my gosh!
And they want me to do this too! Are you kidding?
Oh the half pipe.
He is working his way to the top.
The other side of the pipe.
Turning on his heal edge.

Success on the rail

Through the trees.
I hate hearing that he goes through the trees.
He makes it look so simply.
So Joey has been working on the "fun" stuff.
Going on the grinding rails.
All the way to the end.
He even tried the advanced rails and boxes which is kind of high.
As he was trying this for the first time he fell about 3 or 4 feet and landed on his back.
He got up and shook it off and went back to try again.
He didn't give up!
Here he is on the beginning rails
I can't wait to see him in person.

Finally, and here's proof!

I am posting these pictures just for Marta.
She has for years
(since Tommy was born)
been trying to get a picture with him
and prove he does love her.
Well here it is.
(And how it happened isn't important)

Hey, where's Kobe?
