Labor Day

For Labor Day Bryan planned a trip for us to the Lake. He made the plans, did the shopping, and packed the car. He didn't even let me check what he packed to make sure we had it all. We jumped in the car around 8 o'clock and got there about 10 o'clock. To our surprise the lake was empty. We had our choice of table and bbq. It was so nice the lake was calm and quiet. There was no one around us most of the time we were there and when there was it wasn't for long. Bryan, Joseph and Nathan swam across the lake and walked back around. Tommy fell in love with the water and went all the way in with Bryan. We had a picnic of sandwiches and chips, and ice cold drinks. The boys even had fun tormenting so ducks swimming around. Now by tormenting I mean nothing physical but Nathan has a fishing pole which has a bright orange fish on the end. Every time they would cast the pole the ducks would chase the fish and try and eat it. One duck actually munched on it for quite a few seconds before he gave up.
